For the last three years new activities have been set up at The Haven to help our clients have the kind of opportunities we all cherish and often take for granted e.g. decent homes, family life and careers. So many Haven clients have started college courses, voluntary work, and even paid employment, during this time.

These activities were funded, on a start up basis by the Government’s Cabinet Office. We tried for many months to gain agreement, from local NHS and County Council commissioners, to continue to fund these activities on an ongoing basis. However, the recession, and cut backs, meant that they did not feel able to do so at this time.

We need £50,000 each year to keep these activities going and we have been determined to raise the funds in many different ways. Top left, our funding thermometer shows that we have already raised what we need for this financial year, but there is still so far to go to raise funds for next year too. Bottom left, this year’s thermometer shows that we are not yet half way there.

By pledging as little as £5 a month, by Standing Order, you could help us in a very big way to continue to achieve our annual target.
