Head of charity leaves her post
A doctor who helped set up a charity for adults with persoonality disorders nearly a decade ago is to step down as its chief executive. Dr Heather Castillo, 64, will continue helping at the centre and will attend conferences.
Reg Mckenna, the project's chairman, thanked Dr Castillo for her tireless dedication, inspirational thinking, drive, commitment and leadership. He said: "There is little doubt that, without Heather, personality disorder services nationally would only be a shadow of where they are today."

Mayor and Mayoress at the Launch of Book on Mental Health
A new book on mental health has been launched at a Colchester treatmeent centre.
Ten authors contributed to Modern Mental Health - Critical Perspectives on Psychiatric Practice, looking at fresh way to provide mental healthcare. The book was launched at The Haven Project, in Lexden, with authors, service users and the Mayor of Colchester joining the celebrations.

Staff and clients at a project for north Essex residents with personality disorders raised funds with a fete. Alongside the usual stalls, cream teas, art work sale and raffle, staff and clients at the Haven Project took part in a sponsored head shave which raised more than £1,000.
